Hey guys,
It's been a month. I have been to Indonesia and back. I got sick afterwards, but I got a lot of rest and healed before classes started again. I caught up with all my grading and now waiting for the late assignments. It's been one crazy semester, but I'm glad it's coming to an end. I'm also sad because I really like my students. Next year will be just like this one minus one class. I'll be teaching my elective again and teaching Saturdays. Also, I shall be moving to a bigger place in case anyone wants to visit me. I miss my best friend and hope I get to see him again. I also miss my friends and some of my family. I wish I could see them all, but I'll only be home for three weeks and will need to study my Japanese and prepare for the next semester.
Indonesia was hot, so very hot. They food was yummy and the shopping was amazing. However, some of the customer service could use some work. Also, there were way too many cars and bikes on the road, it was crazy. I was in Jakarta for four days and by the end I was in need of some fresh air. Next vacation, I want to go some place where I don't get stared at. I kept feeling like people thought I was going to turn into Beyonce or Rihana or something. Anyway, most of the trip was fun and I got to spend time with my favorite student.
Next month I'll be in NYC. I'll be home, or what I used to call home. Now it's Japan and next maybe France, I'll start looking into that soon. I want to keep traveling and seeing how other people and cultures live and expand my world from the square blocks of NYC. I don't know when I'll return or if I'll ever setting down, but right now I enjoy my life. However, I do miss some things about NYC like the food. Oh I miss all the foods I can eat. I want a turkey sandwich from the corner store, a chicken sandwich from Big Nick's, I want to try some ice cream places and just hang out with my friends. I want to eat my grandma's cooking and see my favorite doorman. Oh and I'll be turning 29 so I'll need to find something to do to celebrate that. Until next time, ttfn.
