Purikura

Good morning,

It's about half way through the first period of classes today. I don't have to teach until after lunch. I have been listening to a podcast, well several actually and it's been making me want to update this thing. So here goes.

Do you know purikura, if not, it's amazing. It's really fun to do with a group of friends or in my case students. It's like a photo booth that you into and take pictures. You can choose backgrounds and add things onto the pictures once you are finished. I have a small collection of pictures that I have taken with my students.

Update time. It's two weeks into the second semester and I'm not super tired. I'm trying to balance all the things I want to do such as working out, studying Japanese, Spanish, French and now Indonesian. It's becoming difficult, but I'm going to push through. I also have to make time to hang out with my students. Tonight we are going to Outback Steakhouse. Tuesday, I went with 2 upperclassmen to yakitori, which is chicken on a stick and it's so good.

One thing that makes me sad is to think that when I leave Japan, I won't have access to all the good food here. I love okonomiyaki, monjya, yakiniku, yakitori and of course ramen. Before coming to Japan I didn't realize there were so many different kinds of ramen. You have salt, soy sauce, miso, tonkatsu and they are all very delicious. I'm making myself hungry just thinking about it. I think that's all for now. I'm going to try to be better at this. I'll try again for next Friday. ttfn.
